An existing home orchard was disconnected from the lower garden, which lacked any infrastructure. Moss rock retaining walls with stone and timber steps make for an easy ascent to the orchard and a fire feature with a built-in stone bench. An edibles-focused lower garden including a greenhouse and raised veggie beds are surrounded by a California native pollinator garden (designed by the owners). The sound of water cascades into a small pond near the Master Bedroom. Drainage issues are solved with rain barrels and a rain-water infiltration basin.
